Intro voiceover: [music] Get ready for your daily dose of marketing strategies and tactics from entrepreneurs with the guile and experience to help you find success in any marketing capacity. You're listening to Marketing School, with your instructors Neil Patel and Eric Siu.

ES: Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Siu.

NP: And I'm Neil Patel.

ES: And today we're going to talk about how to generate audiences using Facebook. So what does that mean, Neil?

NP: You have traffic on your website. You're probably wondering who's visiting your website. Sure, Google Analytics provides some demographics information but it's not 100% accurate. But what is, is Facebook. Facebook has so much data on people. They know exactly who's what, what do they do, their height and weight I think maybe even. Their birthday. Potential income. They have pictures of each individual And the cool part is you can plug in a Facebook Pixel on your website for free. This doesn't cost money, you don't have to spend money on Facebook ads. And Facebook will show you, right, all your visitors and who's what, and just rough demographic information for all of your visitors.
Eric, do you want to walk people through on how they can do that?

ES: Yeah, I mean it's really simple, right. You just google how to set up a Facebook pixel. There's a lot of videos out there on YouTube especially. Get that going first. That's free to do, simple to do, right? And then afterwards what you can do is you can also load up your audiences into ... when you go to Facebook for example, just go to the audience insights. When you're a business manager ... hopefully you have a business page set up because you get some benefits, but that's a whole 'nother conversation.
Go to audience insights, and then from there you can basically plug in different audiences or your custom audiences that you have, that you've set up already in Facebook. So a custom audience for example might be anybody that has visited our marketing services page. We want that to be a custom audience there. Or anybody that's read an SEO post. So we have different custom audiences and you can see who these people are on your site, right. What the average age is, demographics, what they're buying behaviors are and things like that. And then from there you can actually directly create an ad.
This way you can set these audiences. You can save these audiences too, but it's just good to see who is who in the different audiences that you have set up. But it's pretty basic.

NP: Yes, that's pretty much it for this episode.

ES: Yep. So, before we go we have a one year annual subscription to Crazy Egg to give away. This is worth close to $1200. And before I give you the details, Neil, what is Crazy Egg?

NP: Crazy Egg is a visual analytics tool that will show you what you need to change on your website to generate more sales, leads and revenue. Think of it this way. You load up a Google Analytics report, you see all these numbers and data, what do you do? Probably nothing, even if the data looks bad, because you don't know what actions to take. Crazy Egg has visual reports like a heat map which shows you where people click and where they don't. A scroll map that shows you show far people are scrolling down. Because if they're not scrolling down far enough to see your call to actions or your form fields or your checkout or your add to cart buttons, that means you need adjusted placement of them, right?
You can also watch video recordings of visitors as they're going through your website, so you can see where they're getting stuck. And once you figure out what issues people are having with Crazy Egg, you can make changes to your site using the Wizzy Wig editor. So you don't have to be a designer or developer or pay people to make changes to your website any more. And you can even run AB tests to ensure that your changes are driving more sales, leads, and revenue.

ES: Great. So, before, or actually basically to get in on this just go to single grain dot com slash giveaway. And if you are looking to get multiple entries you can actually do that within this. And we're giving away one of these every single week for the next year. To learn more just go to single grain dot com slash giveaway, and we will see you tomorrow.
