You can now export the “Index Coverage Report” on Google Search Console

The Index Coverage Report on Google Search Console is a relatively new feature that Google started testing in early August.

The report shows users the number of indexed pages on their website, and information about why some pages are unable to be indexed. Previously, users had to set up their other technical dashboards to uncover these indexing issues. With the Index Coverage Report, you can see all pages that can’t be indexed in one place.

Along with this data, Google also shows you examples and tips on how to fix these indexing problems.

But recently, Google took the Index Coverage Report to the next level by adding in an export feature.

Now, users can export up to 1,000 URLs on their site, along with any indexing issues the page might have.

If you need more than 1,000 URLs, you’ll have to wait for Google’s upcoming API access.

By exporting the data, you have the option to do more complex analyses in spreadsheet that involve indexed and non-indexed pages. For example, you can debug information and collect data to find patterns in the types of pages that typically need improvement.
