Once Google+ started about two weeks ago, the buzz online has driven more than 10 million members to the new social networking site in some sort of snowball effect. Facebook is still dominating the social media market, but with the increased popularity of Google+, the battle for social media supremacy is heating up. Some people say Google+ has it all; that it is the perfect mix between Facebook and Twitter. Below are some side by side comparisons, including privacy, chat and friends, between Facebook and Google+. Will this battle of Internet titans go the distance or will Google+ get the knockout and become the new Social Media Heavyweight Champion of the World?

Excellent Infographic – have posted your code onto my recent article. Robert

I think whatever both companies do to their services they both will remain active on internet

Google Plus is terrific. I don’t think it will ever be more than the Pepsi to Facebook’s Coke, alas, but it’s much slicker and better designed. It’s too bad that the service has sacrificed a pile of goodwill over the last week by repeatedly publicly shooting themselves in the foot.

I will continue to use both. But I am rapidly finding myself using Google+ more and more, mainly because ease of use and security.

I’ve used Facebook to promote my Not-for-profit organization and i was pretty successful. I hope Google+ will help me reach the audiences that are not on Facebook. After all, there are many facebook haters. Still, everybody seems to be on google!
Love the hangout feature!

Your infographic will be of great value for people new in social networks to choose between Facebook and Google+. As a long-time user of Google search engine and Gmail, I believe Google+ will win more users with more confidence. But, one question, where to seek help when a Google+ user has a question about how to use its many fantastic functions?

Google+ stores your photos in full resolution. Unlike FaceBook, which compresses your photos.

C’mon guys, google + is a failure. my old relatives would never join it and that’s the reason why i wont either. google arrived waaaaaay too late to this party

Nice infographic, but fast forwarding to today, since all the buzz has died down, Google+ is still no where near Facebook. The adoption rate just simply isn’t there. People are too entrenched in their facebook network to make the switch.

Sorry to be a Google+ voice of negativity but who actually uses it outside of the marketing and IT field. None of my friends outside of SEO have heard of it let alone have used it.
I think part of the problem is that Google wants a slice of every pie, where as Facebook does one thing and all of their energy goes into that. Plus the additional fact that in Google’s wide range of services and products G+ simply fades into the background scenery.

Smart Infographic and some of the points have claimed to be actually true. Google + definitely has an impact on rankings more than facebook likes and shares and is definitely worth spending time on.

neat infographic – i wonder if this will change over the next few months if facebook-home takes a grip?
